Milwaukee 3-1/8″ X 22″ One Piece SDS Max Tunnel Bit

ENGINEERED FOR DEEP PENETRATION AND REBAR CLEARANCE

The Milwaukee 48-20-5324 SDS Max Tunnel Bit represents a significant advancement in heavy-duty masonry penetration, specifically engineered for professionals who cannot afford the downtime associated with clearing cores in deep-hole applications. By utilizing a one-piece 22-inch shaft and a specialized 3-cutter carbide head, this bit bridges the gap between standard rotary hammer bits and core bits. The mechanical advantage lies in the high-volume sloped flutes, which facilitate rapid dust evacuation, maintaining high drilling speeds even at maximum depth. For the professional contractor, this translates to a lower cost-per-hole and reduced strain on the SDS Max rotary hammers motor by minimizing friction and heat buildup during extended runs through rebar-reinforced concrete.

• / 3-Cutter Carbide Centering Tip provides surgical precision during starts while effectively grinding through high-PSI concrete and embedded rebar.
• / Rebar Chamfers engineered into the carbide teeth prevent catastrophic tooth failure when encountering structural steel.
• / High-Volume Sloped Flutes ensure continuous material removal, eliminating the need for the repetitive “peck drilling” cycles required to clear debris.
• / One-Piece 22″ Shaft Design optimizes energy transfer from the rotary hammer directly to the cutting head for maximum impact force.
