Milwaukee 1-3/8″ x 6″ Ship Auger Bit

RUGGED SHIP AUGER ENGINEERING FOR UNINTERRUPTED DRILLING THROUGH NAIL-EMBEDDED LUMBER

The Milwaukee 48-13-1373 is engineered to solve the primary failure point of standard wood-boring bits: hidden fasteners. By utilizing a through-center cutting design, this ship auger provides a more stable striking point against nails than offset designs, preventing the bit from binding or shattering in heavy timber. The geometry is further enhanced by a 20-degree rake angle that facilitates fast chip clearing while maintaining a sharp edge through repeated nail strikes. For professionals running high-torque impact wrenches or high-performance drills, the impact-rated shank ensures the bit can handle the rotational stress of boring large-diameter holes in dense, sappy, or glue-laminated materials without shearing, providing a significant return on investment through reduced bit replacement costs.

• / Through-center cutting design creates a solid strike point against nails for 2X longer life.
• / Polished and coated flutes prevent sap and glue buildup for faster chip ejection in deep holes.
• / Hardened 20 rake angle design enhances durability and allows for easy sharpening in the field.
• / Impact-rated 7/16″ hex shank provides the strength required for use with high-torque impact wrenches.
