Milwaukee 1″ x 18″ Ship Auger Bit

ENGINEERED FOR RAPID CHIP EVACUATION AND IMPACT DURABILITY

This Milwaukee ship auger bit is engineered to solve the mechanical challenges of deep-hole drilling in heavy timber and rough-in applications. By utilizing a hardened, one-face 20-degree rake angle, the geometry is optimized for both nail resistance and easy field sharpening, ensuring a longer service life and higher ROI for professional fleets. The dual-wing spurs are a critical design feature, scribing the hole’s edge before the main cutting edge engages to prevent breakout and ensure a clean path for wire or pipe. To combat the friction and heat that typically lead to binding, the flutes are polished and coated with a non-stick surface, facilitating immediate chip ejection even in damp or pressure-treated wood.

• / Impact-rated 7/16-inch hex shank provides the structural integrity required for use with high-torque impact wrenches and standard drills alike.
• / Non-stick coated flutes reduce friction, preventing the bit from gumming up and significantly decreasing the time spent clearing debris.
• / Double wing spurs continually scribe the circumference of the hole, delivering smooth, professional-grade results without wood splintering.
• / Hardened steel construction with a 20-degree rake angle enhances durability when encountering embedded nails in reclaimed or structural lumber.
