Milwaukee 15PC THUNDERBOLT Black Oxide Drill Bit Set

MAXIMUM CORE STRENGTH & PRECISION STARTING

From a mechanical engineering perspective, the 48-89-2803 set addresses the two primary failure points of standard jobsite bits: core fracture and thermal degradation. By utilizing the THUNDERBOLT thicker web architecture, Milwaukee has significantly increased the cross-sectional strength, allowing these bits to withstand the high side-load pressures often encountered in aggressive handheld drilling. The parabolic flute geometry functions as a high-velocity debris evacuation system, preventing the friction-based heat cycles that typically dull cutting edges prematurely. For the fleet manager, this translates to fewer broken consumables and a higher ROI per bit.

• / THUNDERBOLT REINFORCED CORE: Engineered with a beefed-up central web to provide ultimate strength and protect against side-load breakage during rigorous metal drilling.
• / 135 SPLIT POINT TIP: Delivers an immediate, precision start on contact to prevent walking and ensure hole accuracy across various metal, plastic, and wood surfaces.
• / PARABOLIC FLUTE GEOMETRY: Optimizes chip removal to significantly reduce friction and heat buildup, extending the life of the cutting edge.
• / CORROSION RESISTANT BLACK OXIDE: Provides a protective barrier against oxidation while reducing surface friction for smoother material penetration.
• / PACKOUT COMPATIBLE STORAGE: Organized in a heavy-duty, customizable accessory case designed for seamless integration into the MILWAUKEE storage ecosystem.
