Milwaukee 31/64″ COBALT RED HELIX Drill Bit

ENGINEERED FOR THERMAL STABILITY IN HARD METAL DRILLING

When drilling through stainless steel, cast iron, or high-tensile alloys, heat is the primary cause of bit failure. The Milwaukee 48-89-2328 utilizes a specialized Cobalt alloy construction to maintain structural integrity and edge sharpness at temperatures that would soften standard high-speed steel. The proprietary RED HELIX variable geometryfeaturing an aggressive 35 helix angle that transitions to 15rapidly clears chips to prevent heat soak and binding. Combined with the QUADEDGE TIP and a 135 split point, this bit ensures immediate engagement without walking, providing the mechanical efficiency required for high-torque, professional-grade applications.

• / 135 Split Point: Delivers a precision start on contact and prevents bit walking on hard, curved, or polished surfaces.
• / RED HELIX Design: Variable helix geometry clears material faster to limit friction and extend the life of the cutting edge.
• / 3-Flat Secure-Grip Shank: Features a reduced 3/8″ shank with flattened sides to eliminate bit slippage within the chuck during high-load drilling.
• / Enhanced Tapered Web: Increases the core thickness of the bit to provide superior flute durability and resistance to torsional breakage.
