Milwaukee 5″ Backing Plate

ENHANCED POLISHING PRECISION & THERMAL STABILITY

When maintaining a high-output fleet or perfecting a showroom finish, the interface between your polisher and the pad is critical for consistent results. The Milwaukee 49-36-0401 5-inch backing plate is engineered specifically for the high-torque demands of the M18 FUEL 15mm and 21mm Random Orbital Polishers. By utilizing a specialized rubberized construction, this plate acts as a heat sink during intensive correction cycles, preventing the thermal buildup that typically leads to premature pad failure and accessory fatigue. Its precision-balanced geometry ensures that energy transfer remains focused on the paint surface, not in your hands, significantly reducing the harmonic vibrations that plague lower-tier accessories.

• / Hook and Loop Attachment / Provides universal compatibility with any standard 5-inch polishing pads for maximum application flexibility.
• / Industrial Rubber Design / Engineered for superior heat dispersion to extend the service life of both the backing plate and your premium pads.
• / Optimized Balancing / Specifically tuned to match the motor harmonics of M18 FUEL orbital platforms, delivering smoother operation at peak RPMs.
• / Multi-Tool Compatibility / Seamlessly interchangeable between the 15mm and 21mm orbital platforms, streamlining your tool inventory.
