Milwaukee 7/8″ x 18″ Ship Auger Bit

ENGINEERED FOR EXTREME DURABILITY IN NAIL-EMBEDDED LUMBER

The Milwaukee 48-13-5870 is a masterclass in accessory metallurgy, designed to solve the primary failure point of traditional auger bits: nail strikes. By utilizing a through-center cutting design, this bit creates a more robust striking point that absorbs the impact of hardened fasteners rather than fracturing. The 20-degree rake angle is precision-ground to maintain its edge through up to 2X more nails than the competition, ensuring that high-volume rough-ins for Romex or PEX remain efficient. For the professional looking for long-term ROI, the non-stick coated flutes and impact-rated shank provide the mechanical reliability needed when driving deep holes into sap-heavy or pressure-treated timber.

• / Through-center cutting design provides a reinforced strike point for superior nail resistance and longevity.
• / Polished and coated flute geometry facilitates rapid chip ejection, preventing binding in deep-hole applications.
• / Impact-rated 7/16″ hex shank allows for seamless transition between high-torque impact wrenches and standard drills.
• / 18-inch extended reach eliminates the need for bit extensions when drilling through multiple studs or overhead joists.
